After his Baptism and the Temptation in the wilderness, Jesus calls his disciples. The most amazing part of the story is how quickly the disciples responded: "immediately" says Matthew. We seldom do anything immediately - unless there is an emergency. Perhaps this is why the disciples reacted so quickly - they sensed a critical moment in their lives.
