Big Spring Presbyterian Church

The sermon title "Falling Into Place" is very relevant, as our church is trying to figure out what kind of altar to build for God in Newville. There are stones all around us – just waiting for us. There are people who are hungry – there’s a stone. There are parents who need help raising their children – that’s a stone. There are senior citizens who have little companionship and little resources – another stone. There are youth who have nothing constructive to do – another stone. For us to say there is no need in Newville would be like saying there are no stones in the Holy Land.  Between what we hear from our community and what we read in your Home Surveys, Big Spring can build altars worthy of our Maker. We don’t know what it will look like. We only know God is asking us to build it.
